Nutrition in pregnancy
Needs rise for several nutrients during pregnancy, especially folate in the first trimester, iron, iodine and vitamin D. A prenatal supplement can help cover the gaps, but it does not replace a varied diet or the tests your doctor or midwife recommends. Choose your prenatal together with them.
Common changes, trimester by trimester
Nausea and tiredness are common early on. In the middle months, energy often returns. Later, heartburn, broken sleep, needing the toilet more often and changes in intimate comfort are frequent. Vaginal discharge usually increases in pregnancy; a strong smell, itching or unusual colour should be checked.
Products in this collection
GUUD Prenatal and the Pregnancy Multinutrient cover key prenatal nutrients. The Vaginal pH Test Kit lets you check at home, and the Pregnancy Essentials Kit brings several essentials together.
Always with your doctor
Please check with your doctor or midwife before starting any supplement or product during pregnancy. Bleeding, severe pain, fluid loss, severe headache or reduced baby movements need urgent medical advice.
