Collection: Adaye

Adaye was founded by Shereen after years of living with PCOS and fibroids made her look closely at what she was putting against her body every month.

The range is made of organic cotton, with no dyes, rayon, fragrance or chlorine bleaching: Rest-Assured pads in regular and super, panty liners for everyday, and GOTS certified Barely-There tampons with an applicator. Everything comes individually wrapped in plastic free, biodegradable packaging.

With tampons, always use the lowest absorbency that suits your flow and read the leaflet about toxic shock syndrome.

What touches your skin every month

Adaye pads and liners have an organic cotton topsheet and core, and the tampons are organic cotton through and through. Everything is unscented and hypoallergenic, and the pads and tampons are free from dyes, rayon and chlorine. Each piece is individually wrapped, easy to slip into a bag.

Pads, liners or tampons

Just-in-Case Liners are for daily discharge, spotting and the days before your period, changed every 4 to 8 hours; they are not enough for period days. Rest-Assured Pads come in Regular, about 24.5 cm, for normal day flow, and Super, about 28.5 cm and wider at the back, for heavy flow or overnight. Barely-There Tampons are regular absorbency, about 6 to 9 g, for normal flow days, with an applicator. Prefer something reusable? See Period Underwear.

Tampon safety

Always use the lowest absorbency that suits your flow. Change every 4 to 8 hours and never wear a tampon for more than 8 hours. Toxic shock syndrome is rare but serious: read the leaflet, and if you suddenly feel unwell, remove the tampon and see a doctor.

About discharge

Clear or white discharge that changes through the cycle is normal. If it changes colour or smell, or causes itching, speak to your doctor. More in Menstruation.
